Smoker's Lines (Perioral) Filler in Dún Laoghaire
Fine vertical lines around the lips, often called smoker's lines, can appear whether or not you have ever smoked. A soft filler placed in small amounts can smooth these lines and restore a fresher look around the mouth.
Every aesthetic treatment starts with a consultation with Dr Godara (€100, redeemable against treatment). You are never asked to decide on the day, and every treatment includes a follow-up review at no extra cost.
What happens at your appointment
Dr Godara will assess the lines and the surrounding skin. A very soft filler is placed in tiny amounts along the lines. Treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Results and how long they last
Lines look softer straight away, with the final result at about two weeks. Results typically last around six to nine months. Very fine lines may also improve with skin treatments such as Profhilo.
Possible side effects and risks
- Swelling, tenderness and bruising, usually settling within a week
- Small lumps, which usually settle or can be treated
- A cold sore flare, if you are prone to them
- Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel, which needs urgent treatment
