Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information VERA MD collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and your rights.
Who we are
VERA MD is operated by Vera MD Ltd, company number 825996. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. Our clinic is at Escapada, 10-11 Marine Terrace, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin A96 T3H3.

What we collect
- Contact details you give us: your name, email address and phone number.
- Booking details: appointment type, date, deposit and payment records.
- Health information: your medical history, symptoms, medications, consent forms, clinical notes and, for aesthetic treatments, clinical photographs.
When you visit this website, we also collect anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, referring website, approximate location, device and browser type). These do not identify you and no cookies are used. See our cookie notice.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
Health information is special-category data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We use it to provide your medical care (GDPR Article 9(2)(h)).
We use your contact and booking details to provide the service you ask for (Article 6(1)(b)) and to meet our legal obligations, for example keeping medical and financial records (Article 6(1)(c)).
How we collect it
We collect information through our online booking system, the forms it sends you before your appointment, and at your consultation. Please don't send medical details by email.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with suppliers who help us run the clinic, under a data processing agreement:
- Pabau: online booking, patient records and forms
- Vercel: website hosting and anonymous visit statistics
- Titan: email
- Our card payment provider: deposits and payments
Where a supplier processes information outside the European Economic Area, we make sure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, are in place.
With your consent, or where the law requires it, we may also share information with your GP, a pharmacist or other healthcare professionals involved in your care.
How long we keep it
- Clinical records: 8 years after your last appointment, or until age 25 for anyone treated under 18, whichever is later.
- Enquiry emails and messages: 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or receive a copy of your information, ask us to restrict or object to its use and, where the law allows, ask us to delete it. Email care@veramd.ie and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission.
